The legs at the ends are in a half circle "ish" with 2 metal pieces holding the legs on. There are two pull outs on each end to add 5 or 6 leaves, (which we have) The is cut out work around the sides of the table and some simple turning on the legs. Very solid. On one end of the under part of the table it says, C-P-SCOTT, 985, D. DUST......the other end just says Monterey.
