What does this mean?

Dear Kirk,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.

The presented object appears to be a small-sized to mid-sized painting made in oil paint on board with unknown measurements. The painting depicts a maritime scene how it is typical for the art of the Netherlands in the late 19th or first half of the 20th century. We see a Dutch boat type with Dutch flags and windmills in the background. This painting is not connected with the art, motifs, and style of Claude MONET (1840-1926). It was made by a Dutch painter in the first half or middle of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
George

George:
As you requested, please find a few more photos of the Claude Monet painting. This particular painting was originally painted on the front of an old easel board. Over the years someone decided to repurpose it on the back, as a piece of the painted advertisement or some type of a personal game board.
