What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. These appear to be chinese carved rosewood statues inlaid with metal wire of Lo-hans. These are two of the 18 Arhats, the one on the left wood be the sitting deer Lo-han or Arhat 坐鹿罗汉( the deer not shown), the one to the right wood be the dragon subdue lo-han 降龙罗汉 ( the dragon not shown). As you can see from the description, part of the traditional way to depict these lo-hans got lost. These would be typical products made for export during the chinese republic era or later. Similar statues are being offered or sold at auction. The estimate is based on auction results, asking prices might be higher.
