Chinese Tea Jar/Holder ?
I'm guessing this is a ceramic or porcelain tea jar (holder). The diameter is approximately 4 1/8" and the height is approximately 5 1/8". It weighs right at 2 pounds. In Picture 5 it looks like there's a crack, but I believe it's just a mark or possibly a scratch...does not feel bumpy and definitely does not show on the inside of the jar. From the feel of the surface and the fit of the top on the jar, it appears to be hand made and hand painted. There are no marks on the base of this jar. Whoever owned it last glued some felt dots to the base of the jar to keep it from scratching furniture... just left them in place as they weren't covering up anything.
I don't know anything about the provenance or previous ownership. I bought it at a thrift store.

This is a vintage 20th century Chinese porcelain lidded columnar form jar with hand painted enamel decoration in a Famille Verte (mostly green) palette. The decoration included flowers, birds and lattice work. The jar form itself would have been molded and not hand formed on a wheel. The felt dots on the underside do not impact value. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
