Carved table
Heavy wood table with carved inset panel and metal brackets on the corners. It is similar to the one in the photo, but in better condition without the dark brown/black band on the top rim. The actual table is in storage and I cannot access it to take a photo. For now, I have only the image submitted of a similar item, no additional photos of the real item.
unknown, but I think it is 1960s or 70s, perhaps made in the Philippines or Asia. I had it appraised about 10 years ago. The appraisal was $5,000 and the appraiser said it was made for export or for tourists, I can't remember. The carved inset is pretty, but the bottom of the table has visible glue and nails. Just looking for a very ball park value until I can submit photos of the actual table.

I suspect the appraisal you received was for insurance, which is a much higher value than the fair-market values Mearto provides. At auction, the table in the photo would have an estimate of $500-800.
