Dear Gabor,

What you have is a Indian ''set'' of a ceramic buddha and the mould it came from. You would be surprised to hear I see them more. Not particularly rare but even so a lovely possession. I date the 'set' late 19th century so around 150 years old. These small buddha's were used in house altars or brought with a person when traveling. They were, as said before, quite common. Nevertheless if you would bring this to auction I would expect to fetch a price in the estimate I gave above,

Dear Mr Breider, Thank you for your help, as much as I know its from Pakistan, Afganistan area and should dated before the islamic era.As much as I saw my grandfather had many of gandharan art what I was sold a few as original. The Buddha is made of stone. Honestly this two items were separated at the collection, I was realized that those are mostly the same. Do you have any idea where and how can I be sure about the age?
Thanks
Gabor

If you to carbon date it, you can be sure but it is very expensive. I do not believe the date I gave you is far from the truth.

Regards,

Simon Breider
