What does this mean?

It is a sweetlooking teddybear. Such vintage toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The teddy bear looks as if it is in very good condition and without any signs of use or fading on the fur. The fur looks soft and the paws intact. The teddy bear was probably made around the middle of the 20th century. Teddy bears have been a popular toy during the most of the 20th century and quite a lot of manufacturers have produced this type of teddy bears. Unfortunately it is hard to tell the manufacturer without any kind of label or tag from the manufacturer. The price depends on the maker and in this case without a makers mark or tag the price is in the lower end of the scale.

The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage toys auction, where I believe the teddy bear has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the teddy bear. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Thank you for your comment. It is very hard to determine the makers as the teddys resemble each other during the 20th century. The best way of determining this is if you get hold of a teddy bear encyclopedia with photos of old teddys and the manufacturers.

If you would like to sell and ticked this box when assigning the item for appraisal your item will be presented for several auction houses, but they tend only to be interested in items worth more than $1000. I would recommend eBay for these kinds of items because of the extended amount of buyers on the platform.
