Not sure if the budha figure is made of bronze. I acquired this item in the Visayas region Philippines that during pre colonial period was under Budhist religion under Vrijan empire not sure of the spelling. The figure is approximately 5inch tall, with a width of from tip of base to tip of the foot approximately 3inch and weighs around 5 to 6kg approximately. Has a distinct smell of old metal. It has a golden color on some parts of the figure with black color in some parts of the figure. The golden color of the base underneath the figure has been taken off to which the cause i have no idea. In my opinion the figure is made of solid material i think bronze. I tried to scratch off the surface of the figure using a knife it yielded a golden color same color of a 24k gold.
The previous owner was an antique dealer within the Visayas region not a known antique dealer. He said the figure was dug up along a riverbank in the Visayas region. When i acquired the figure it had traces of some limestone particles on it.
