Bronze Bird Statue
The material it bronze. The statue is two separate pieces. Height is 9 inches. Width is 7 inches.
This item belonged to my aunt who lived in Japan during the 50s-70s. My Uncle asked me to get it appraised because my aunt said the statue may be over 200 years old.

The censer depicts a pheasant and these object date to the early to mid 19th century. Many sellers tend to attribute Japanese object as older than they are because of the marks or stamps on the items. However, they are often apocryphal markings. These censers were highly produced during the 1920s for export to the US.
