What does this mean?

Hello Barry,
Thank you for sending in this rare and unusual Breitling model to Mearto for an appraisal. I shall do my best to help you with that today.
TITLE:
Unisex, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold and diamond wristwatch with MOP dial, date, round button chronograph, registers, tachometer, 18K yellow gold Breitling PILOT bracelet with deployment clasp, “Cockpit, self-winding gold and diamond chronograph” model, ref. K13358, No. 152 (? limited edition), case No. 2533166, made by Breitling, Switzerland, circa 2005
Not accompanied by a fitted box, no certificate, no Chronometer attestation, no warranty and no instruction booklet.
DESCRIPTION:
Case: 39mm diameter, three leaf, polished and brushed 18k yellow gold watch case, screwed-down protected winding-crown and buttons, screwed-down case back with embossed Breitling logo, marked K13358, No 152 (Limited edition?), case no. 2533166,
Hallmarked for 18k gold with poinçon de maître of “365” = Louis Lang SA, unidirectional revolving bezel set with diamonds (0.66cts) and gold quarter-hour rider tabs, luminous dot at 12, sapphire crystal integrated with a multiple link 18k gold Breitling Pilot type bracelet with deployment clasp.
Dial: Mother of pearl dial with applied diamond set hour indices, outer tachometer scale and 1/5th seconds track, champagne subsidiary guilloche dials for the seconds @9, the 12- hour @6 and 30-minute @12 registers, aperture for the date@3. Luminous yellow gold baton hand and counterbalanced Breitling logo center seconds chronograph pointer.
Movement: Not shown but likely a Valjoux based movement, jeweled, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator, hack mechanism and the dial, case and movement should be triple signed.
Condition: Moderate wear to the bracelet and the case. Movement should be functional. I will make the extraordinary assumption that the case, dial, bracelet and movement all originated in the Breitling factory in Switzerland and that the diamonds both on the dial and bezel are genuine diamond gemstones of the quality and clarity the client mentions. In addition, all of the components of this wristwatch started out as original Breitling parts in this specific wristwatch.
COMMENTARY:
Obtained from a Pawn shop and unaccompanied by a fitted box, no certificate, no Chronometer attestation, no warranty and no instruction booklet.
This is a difficult watch to price since there are no comparables except for the larger men’s example the Ref. B 1335853 in gold and steel with diamond bezel and diamond dial. That watch, 48 x 51 mm, was offered with an estimate of $6500-$9000 in 2013 and did not sell.
SIMILAR WATCHES:
https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/50035504_breitling-a-gentleman-s-windrider-chrono-cockpit (another example in stainless steel and gold with diamond bezel sold for $1700 ion 2017)
https://www.barnebys.com/realizedprices/lot/42710765/breitling-chrono-cockpit-unisex-2005/ (stainless steel with MOP dial and diamond bezel sold for $4200 in 2016)
I cannot confirm the authenticity of this watch because of the lack of comparables, however, it does appear to be authentic and is probably one of very few that were made judging by the No. 152 on the back cover. Perhaps it was a special limited edition although the cover does not state that fact.
If your watch is truly authentic and I cannot be certain of that since I can find no other specific comparables then I would price it at $5000-$7000, with a retail value of about $15000.
I hope this has been of some help to you.
My best,
David

Thank you David.
I had tested the gold and the diamonds to confirm authenticity as well as the usual things to look for. So I’m certain it is authentic. I will be getting a professional watchmaker to authenticate it as well. Just based on the gold weight subtracting the moment, the value on the gold alone is over $6000 USD... Assuming it is authentic, I would have thought it’s value is higher then $5000-$7000...?

Hi Barry,
I did not price your watch as if sold into the gold market which would destroy the watch. It is priced as if sold in today's watch market, and they are two very different markets. Of course, if you could send me a couple of examples of true comparables of this model watch then I will take them into consideration regarding new pricing.
If you want the watch priced as if sold on the gold market and find a reasonable way to measure the weight of the gold i can do that for you.
Bottom line, by providing the value I gave you, I had to push myself to reach that level because of the type of aesthetics involved and the low values that similar watches without the diamonds sell for today.
But, as i said if you can provide me with evidence of value, feel free to send the documentation to me and I will be happy to alter what i wrote.
best,
David
