What does this mean?

Dear Brent,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

The presented object appears to be a flintlock rifle partially produced by the company Moore. There are pistols and rifles known produced ba the British weaponsmith Moore. But Moore is a very common name in Great Britain and the USA so the identification is a bit difficult. British weapons are often hallmarked with additional stamps which I cant see here. The technical details and the brass inlay date this piece into the early 19th century or less probable into the late 18th century. There is a possibility that the stock was renewed or overworked.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 400 to 800 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

With kind regards,
Georg
