What does this mean?

Hi Loraine,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Unfortunately, hooded cradles such as these are currently being acquired by doll collectors as they are considered unsafe for human babies.
Was your father a noted or reknowned carpenter/craftsman? If so, please let me know so I can re-evaluate this if necessary.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Pilgrim century style pine hooded cradle
Made by the client's father circa 1961
34” long, 19” wide, front is 16” deep, back is 27” deep, 23” wide
$150-200*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.

Thank you, I do have a couple of additional items (old school desk/swivel seat, munk hinged head lid beer mug/stein, old crystal, ornamental plates from Italy and China from japan early - mid 1900’s). I would like to determine the value and maybe sell, but i don’t know if the value(s) will be worth spending $19 per each appraisal and I have to take pictures.

Really hard to say without photos. If there are names on the makers on the stein, crystal, or plates I could give you have a better idea if worth submitting an appraisal.

I can't read the long black inscription on the underside of the ...plate?
The floral plate is Italian majolica and if you have a set would be worth appraising
Who made the monk stein? It doesn't look very valuable to me.
I've reverted the title of this appraisal back to saying its the cradle, since that is what the valuation is for.
