What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a second half 20th century shell shaped maiolica bowl or barber´s bowl, signed with monogram JS and Talavera. This refers to the spanish town Talavera de la Reina where comparable tin glazed earthenware once was made. This bowl might originate from Spain or more likely from Mexico where this tradition is still alive an this tradename is used. The estimate is based on similar offered or sold at auction.
