3 bone carved hilts The smallest is 4 1/2 inches The 2 other ones are 5 1/4 inches long All 3 are about 1.5 inches at the widest point, Very nice carvings
Japanese hilts from a Tanto ( Japanese knife ) made for export purposes. Date wise around 1900 ( Meiji period ) They are indeed made of bone and well carved. Japanese swords and knifes and the objects concerning them are quite collectable. Carvings are above average. My estimation is for the three.
