What does this mean?

Good afternoon, Nicholas,

Thanks for confirming the marks on the backs of the bowls.
The 'e' in Mintone was dropped in 1892, when it became known as "Minton", and it is fairly unusual to find pieces with this older mark. The city of Limoges had several manufacturers - including the Limoges company, which at the time this bowl would have been made (late 19th century) would have been made by the Haviland company and would have that mark as well. Both of these bowls are fairly rare given that they do not align with the vast numbers of either Limoges or Minton pieces swamping the market but which, happily for you, makes them more valuable. (more typical examples would be worth maybe $25-35)

The decoration is such one typically finds on children's plates, cups and bowls; it is fairly informal and appears to be in very good condition.

The first bowl of the fishing man has mintone mark on back. The other has Limoges china mark on back. The back of the bowls are blank solid white except for the marks that I have photographed.
