Antique Chest of Drawers
Chest of Drawers is part of a 3 piece set. This was given to me by my Grandfather (born in 1917) who passed in 2012. Chest has casters with wooden wheels. Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Colonial Revival style walnut tall dresser
Unattributed maker, Probably American, probably 1940s-1950s
The rectangular molded-edged top with short backsplash, the case fitted with two short drawers over four long drawers, all raised on short turned legs on casters.
48 1/2 inches high by 38 inches wide by 21 inches deep

It is not painted. I guess the way the lighting was gives it that effect.
