Family heirloom probably purchased in 1930’s. Original clasp was brass but has recently been newly re-strung.

It is a beautiful amber necklace. Such amber necklaces are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The way the amber is cut resembling pearls is very decorative and is typical of the first half of the 20th century.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the necklace has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the necklace. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
