Firstly, this is a lovely piece to inherit! I believe this to be a relatively modern piece, the pearls are likely to be freshwater cultured pearls and it's likely they will have been dyed to achieve the vibrant colours. It's great this piece has a mark; the 925 mark indicated that the metal is silver. I would say this is a piece of costume jewellery, and would probably sell reasonably well in a dedicated costume jewellery sale.

A fair market estimation for this pearl necklace is around 10 - 20 GBP. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail asking prices can be higher and may vary. I believe this lovely necklace and very wearable too, it would easily achieve within the estimate provided however, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the necklace.
