This is a 2 headed vessel. It has a clear glaze over it but the glaze looks a bit iridescent. One face is normal one face is black. Inside the neck there is a marking. Maybe initials or design. Hard to see. Very old.
My grandmother picked it up in another country traveling. Gave it to my mom when I was little so at least 40 years ago. Grandma didn't remember what country she got it in.
Thank you for your help and patience. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a sculptural ceramic vessel. The vase has the shape of two heads or faces which differ in the color of their hair and skin and in their facial features. The anatomy is stylized and the complexity of the structure of this vessel suggests an academic student of pottery. Besides the modulation of the material clay, the multicolor glaze is added in a professional manner. The style indicates a dating in the last third of the 20th century and that it could be made in Italy. The piece is signed with the monogram H.
