15" ceramic geisha dolls
These dolls were given as gifts to my father 45-50 years ago when he was doing business with Japanese clients. There was a specific name for these dolls, but i can't remember what it was. There is a seal on the bottom of them, but it is in Japanese. They were quite expensive and prized at the time.

I'm sorry for the delay. Had to do some additional research on this. Its a Geisha doll made in second half 20th century. So its not an antique but is a collectable. These dolls have usually Gofun heads. Gofun is a material made of grinded oystershell and glue. The base of the old heads was wood but later versions have also other base materials. Clothes are all had made. These doll's are popular and there are quite a lot around. Quality and the expression of the dolls you have is nice. I believe a fair price in auction will be around the estimate I gave you.
