14k White Gold 82 Diamonds 15.9 DWT Cocktail Ring
This lovely cocktail ring came into being from an idea that my mother had. It took her a few years to collect all the diamonds in this ring. She hired a local jeweler to help her design and make it. We had IGI rate it a few years back (photo of rating included) though the number of diamonds is actually more than the IGI report states. We have counted a total of 82. 14k white gold and the rings weight/ size is included in the photos as well.

It is a beautiful ring. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The design of the ring is very unique and the ctw of the diamonds exceptionally high. The provenance and the fact that your mother collected the stones for years in order to make her own ring is quite extraordinary. However it is also a very special ring with a limited amount of possible buyers. Still I believe that it would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online or traditional jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to your mothers special diamond ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
