14k gold A S 1912 chain
14k gold A S 1912 chain with a sliding piece and a hook on the end. The chair is a total of 54" long. I thought it was a watch fob but its so long.
My husband travels and buys gold & silver. I have lots of interesting pieces.

Many thanks for sending a photograph of this lovely gold chain. In order to value this accurately, please could you provide the weight of the chain in grams?
The chain seems to be an early 20th century antique muff or long chain fashioned from flat curb-links with a smooth tactile quality and fitted with a swivel clip as would be expected from the a long chain of the era. The fitted heart slider is exceptionally with finely carved hand engraving to both sides. The slider is there to move freely along to chain to facilitate it being worn in many ways, a watch chain could be one of them!
