Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. It is a beautiful teapot. Such vintage teapots are being offered at auction on a regular basis. From the photos it does not look like silver but more like pewter which is a material these type of oriental teapots are often made of. It is is silver there should be some kind of mark either on the side near the handle or underneath on the base. If my presumption that it is pewter is correct then the teapot was made in the middle of the 1900s. It is a type that is still made today and is still in use in the southern European countries. It is a type that has been mass produced for many years and it has a high usage value but not a high antiques value. The estimate provided is for a well-advertised online auction, where I believe the teapot has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the teapot. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help. Thank you
