Hello Marie, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, glass quality and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Blown and Hand Painted, Hand Decorated set of Wine Glasses and Wine Decanter. The piece dates back to the period from 1940 to 1970. The pieces are visibly affected from the Bohemian Glass pieces that were florally decorated similarly. This sort of sets were very popular during the mid-century till the last quarter of the 20th century. The Turquoise colour of each piece is very elegant and decorative. This tone was a heavily used colour from the 15th century onwards, and is one of the most prominent colours of the Venetian Glass Art. The set's glass tray was encircled by a glass twisted stripe as well as a mirrored base. Each wine glass is decorated with dual coloured flowers and each wine glass has a twisted stem. These stems and bases are gilted. The decanter is quite high, with mostly gilted upper body. The handle of the decanter is in Art Nouveau style. The decanter has the same decoration as the wine glasses. The tray has two brass handles on both sides. There are nine pieces in total. The piece is in good condition without any visible problems. Entirely hand blown and decorated glass. Pieces: 6 Wine Glasses, 1 Decanter, 1 Tray. Condition: The piece is in good condition without any visible problems. Provenance: The current owner inherited this set from his parents who've purchased these in Italy. Heavily decorated by gold appliance and floral motifs. 800-1200$.
